About

Meet Tatum Erickson

I’m a Certified Strength & Performance Coach and Nutrition Therapy Master (NTM) specializing in Sports Nutrition. My approach goes beyond muscle by training the nervous system to coordinate strength, speed, and precision as one integrated skill. Every session is designed to enhance neural efficiency, movement intent, and body awareness, helping athletes move faster, react smarter, and perform with control under fatigue. Each program is fully personalized to emphasize sustainable progress, mobility, injury prevention, and overall well-being—empowering every athlete to move better, feel stronger, and perform with confidence.

Why Choose Take5 Athletics?

We’re not just about workouts — we’re about building a system around you. Every part of the process connects like a control panel, designed to support progress that lasts.

Expert Coaching

Every rep counts. With years of coaching experience and proven certifications, I focus on movement quality first. You’ll learn correct technique, safe progression, and performance cues that stick with you inside and outside the gym.

Personalized Programs

Forget cookie-cutter templates. Your training plan is built around your lifestyle, recovery ability, and long-term goals. Whether you want strength, conditioning, or both, your plan adjusts as you grow — not the other way around.

Flexible Options

Consistency is the key to results. That’s why I offer private in-person coaching, home/outdoor sessions, or full online training. No matter where you prefer to train, you’ll always have a structured program and accountability system.

Community & Accountability

Progress doesn’t happen in isolation. With weekly check-ins, progress reviews, and direct feedback, you’ll always know where you stand and where you’re headed. I create a culture of accountability where wins are celebrated and obstacles are tackled together.

Measurable Results

Strength numbers going up. Conditioning tests improving. Joints feeling healthier. These aren’t guesses — they’re tracked milestones. You’ll see data-backed proof of your growth while also noticing real-life improvements in how you move, feel, and perform.

What Clients Are Saying

From pro prospects to busy parents, Take5Athletics blends strength, nervous system training, and nutrition so you can actually feel and perform better in real life.

“Working with Tatum completely changed how I prepare as a pitcher. My lower-body power, shoulder durability, and between-start recovery are on a different level.”

We built a plan around hip/shoulder separation, sprint work, and rotation strength that actually fits my in-season schedule. My velo stayed up deep into games, and my arm felt fresher on short rest. Tatum sees the whole picture — mechanics, strength, nervous system, and recovery — and ties it all together in a way that makes sense for pro ball.

– Hunter Omlid, Minor League Pitcher, Rockies Organization

“In four months with Tatum I’ve dropped over 25 pounds, my energy is way up, and my doctor was shocked by my new labs.”

When we started, my triglycerides were sky high and my total cholesterol was trending in the wrong direction. Tatum built a simple plan around whole food, protein, and smart training that I could actually follow with a busy schedule. At my follow-up, my triglycerides were down by more than 140 points and my total cholesterol dropped with them. I’m sleeping better, clothes fit differently, and I finally feel like I’m in control of my health instead of chasing quick fixes.

– Tony Iranschad

“I’m not an athlete — I’m a full-time working mom. I came to Tatum exhausted, sore all the time, and intimidated by the gym. Now I feel strong, clear-headed, and actually look forward to training.”

We started with basics: breathing, joint-friendly strength work, and simple nutrition changes. Within a few weeks my low-back and knee pain were better, my steps and sleep improved, and I wasn’t relying on caffeine to get through the day. The biggest win is confidence — I know what to do when I walk into the gym and I feel capable instead of overwhelmed. Training with Take5Athletics has spilled over into every part of my life.
