SERVING CANBY · CLACKAMAS COUNTY
If youth strength training in Canby is on your radar, the goal is usually the same: real progress your athlete can put to work on the field or court.
Canby is an agricultural community strung along OR-99E with a deep tradition in youth and high-school sports, and that culture produces a lot of hungry young athletes. Many of them - Canby High School Cougars and the club and middle-school players coming up behind them - make the short 20-to-30 to 35 minute drive to Take5 Athletics in Damascus, to train where development is the whole point.
Skills practice teaches the sport; we build the engine underneath it. A Canby athlete in Youth Foundations learns to move, jump, and brace with control, while one in Athlete Performance layers on the speed and strength that hold up across a full season. In a town that already takes its sports seriously, that physical edge is what keeps Cougars competitive.
At Take5 Athletics, we train athletes with a system built around speed, strength, and movement quality - so they gain confidence, reduce injury risk, and perform at a higher level.

Our Youth Performance program is built for athletes ages 8–18, including middle school and high school athletes across all sports.
Between 2 and 4 days a week works for most athletes, depending on their age, their sport calendar, and how much they've trained before. We lock in the right number during the evaluation.
We track sprint timing, jump performance, movement quality, and strength benchmarks. Athletes are re-tested every ~6 weeks so gains are always visible and documented.
