SERVING MILWAUKIE · CLACKAMAS COUNTY
If you're searching for youth strength training in Milwaukie, you're likely looking for one thing: real progress you can see on the field or court.
Milwaukie is an established, close-in community sitting right along the Willamette, and its young athletes feed into programs like Milwaukie High School and Rex Putnam High School. Families here have plenty of school and rec sports nearby, but quality strength and speed development - the kind that actually transfers to the field - can be tougher to find.
Take5 is an easy 15 to 20 minute drive away via OR-224, close enough to fit around school, practice, and homework. Our youth program is split into a Youth Foundations track for ages 8–11 and an Athlete Performance track for ages 12–18, so whether your athlete is just starting out or already competing for Milwaukie or Putnam, the training meets them where they are.
At Take5 Athletics, we train athletes with a system built around speed, strength, and movement quality - so they gain confidence, reduce injury risk, and perform at a higher level.
Included with every youth program
Every athlete is set up in the Take5 Athletics app on day one. Their program, their roadmap, their numbers — so the work carries on between sessions and you can both see exactly how far they have come.
Seven stages, from baseline assessment through force production. Your athlete always knows where they are and what unlocks next.
Today's session and the full week's schedule on the home screen — plus recovery, hydration and fuel at a glance.
A full exercise library filtered by muscle or equipment, each with a video demo — so form is never guesswork when we are not in the room.
Calorie, protein, carb and fat targets with water tracking. Log a meal by search, barcode, label or photo.
Journaling, guided breathing, mindfulness and pre-game routines — the part of sport most young athletes are never taught.
Personal records and session history in one place, with benchmark re-tests every six weeks. Real numbers, not a feeling.
Free with every youth program — set up at the free evaluation, no extra cost, ever.

Our Youth Performance program is built for athletes ages 8–18, including middle school and high school athletes across all sports.
Most athletes train 2–4 days per week depending on age, sport schedule, and training experience. Frequency is finalized during the evaluation.
We re-test about every ~6 weeks and compare the data - sprint times, jump numbers, strength benchmarks, and overall movement quality. Parents get to see clear, documented proof that the work is paying off.
Yes. We adjust the plan around in-season and off-season demands, practice load, and your athlete's game calendar so the hard work lands at the right time and recovery never gets skipped.
