SERVING SANDY · CLACKAMAS COUNTY
If you're searching for youth strength training in Sandy, you're likely after one thing: real progress your athlete can show on the field or court.
Up the US-26 corridor toward Mt. Hood, Sandy is a tight-knit, outdoorsy town where kids grow up playing hard. Plenty of Sandy High School Pioneers and younger club athletes head down the hill to train at Take5 Athletics, and the trip runs only about 25 to 30 minutes to our facility in Damascus.
We meet that community where it is: a Sandy eight-year-old in Youth Foundations learns to move, brace, and jump correctly, while a high schooler in Athlete Performance sharpens the speed and strength that carry over to whatever season is next. Families tell us the short drive is an easy trade for coaching that actually moves the needle.
At Take5 Athletics, we train athletes with a system built around speed, strength, and movement quality - so they gain confidence, reduce injury risk, and perform at a higher level.
Included with every youth program
Every athlete is set up in the Take5 Athletics app on day one. Their program, their roadmap, their numbers — so the work carries on between sessions and you can both see exactly how far they have come.
Seven stages, from baseline assessment through force production. Your athlete always knows where they are and what unlocks next.
Today's session and the full week's schedule on the home screen — plus recovery, hydration and fuel at a glance.
A full exercise library filtered by muscle or equipment, each with a video demo — so form is never guesswork when we are not in the room.
Calorie, protein, carb and fat targets with water tracking. Log a meal by search, barcode, label or photo.
Journaling, guided breathing, mindfulness and pre-game routines — the part of sport most young athletes are never taught.
Personal records and session history in one place, with benchmark re-tests every six weeks. Real numbers, not a feeling.
Free with every youth program — set up at the free evaluation, no extra cost, ever.

Our Youth Performance program is built for athletes ages 8–18, including middle school and high school athletes across all sports.
Most athletes train 2–4 days per week depending on age, sport schedule, and training experience. Frequency is finalized during the evaluation.
We re-test every ~6 weeks, tracking sprint times, jump numbers, movement quality, and strength benchmarks - so a Sandy athlete and their parents can see the gains in writing, not just feel them.
